The instrumental version isn't interesting enough to hang on its own.

Yes the "na na na na" part of the hook is annoying but I prefer the vocals over just the instrumental for that particular song.

No vocals. Everytime. It's much more abstract and you can hear every tone and beat the artists put effort on.
