I heard a remix of the new single in a club last nite which was pretty decent. I like the new album.

funny reading an old thread like this... since last post i've seen them at least 5 times and have most of their releases. their new album ranges from brilliant, to boring... but still a very good band

I have their new cd signed too - as well as the single pack with 2 7''s and the cd single in a neat custom box...

i prefer lcd soundsytem in this genre, but hot chip are nice pop alternative when the mood fits

I'm all about listening to new music I've never heard of, so I listened to some of the songs on The Warming, and I kinda like it! I think it will take a little more listening to to really like it, but I think it will definitely grow on me.

Thanks! hehe

I heartily agree with you. Ready for the Floor is such a brilliant track, but most of the album is tedious at best.

I'm listening to the new album again just now, and I think it's half good songs, half tedious. Some solid stuff though, but previous records are better.

I honestly do not see what all the fuss is with this band. I really cannot get into them at all.

their music belongs on the dancefloor obviously, and they've clearly got a Prince obsession. They're just capitalising on the whole vapid funky/electro house thing that's been going on, not the kind of music I go out just to hear and dance to, but it's tolerable as club music on a night out?

It's mainly good for the clubz, I have to agree.

I do enjoy them otherwise, however.
