Added punctuation so people would know it's a question.

His soundcloud page is now my homepage on Chrome.

Sequoioideae 02-04-2015 09:41 PM

I accidentally everything, so I spent a good half hour retagging all 152 tracks. Who in god's name knows how much he really has. He said he had about a dozen albums compiled with orphan tracks. I'm kind of starting to believe all this guy does is make music, just... just look... at this... I don't have everything he has put out, but I have a good chunk of it... but my aphex folder has *clears throat* 39 hours, 24 minutes, and 39 seconds full of AFX.

I feel like if you were to get everything he ever recorded ever, you'd be looking at a week (maybe more) of nothing but AFX nonstop.

grindy 02-05-2015 04:27 AM

I wonder whether the unreleased Q-Chastic tracks are among the new stuff.

Best week ever.

Sequoioideae 02-05-2015 08:29 PM

Since this is such a strange week, and I hadn't really finished my Richard D. James Collection, I thought I'd do that tonight. I'm going to say by the time I'm done toughing through, and downloading, it will be about 44-45 hours worth of music total. I'm talking everything he's ever released, including bootlegs. Bradley Strider, and Power Pill releases were something I didn't have yet, so that and redownloading the Analord series with bonus tracks in flac is left. WOOOO!

debaserr 02-05-2015 11:32 PM

I've never heard of Bradley Strider or Power Pill, are those pseudonyms?

My collection has stuff from: Aphex Twin, AFX, The Tuss, u-Ziq & Aphex Twin, Caustic Window and GAK. What am I missing?

Mondo Bungle 02-05-2015 11:42 PM

I think the only Power Pill thing is a bunch of pacman remixes

Yeah, released on the Rephlex label. Bargain Stinker, and Brian Tregaskin are also two tuss related spin offs that he released stuff under too. Granted, they were easy to miss, and not a lot of people know about the Bargain Stinker pseudonym (which is an anagram of Brian Tregaskin).

Also, it looks like you're missing the Polygon Window releases as well.

edit: Forgot about Q-Chastic and Universal Indicator.

Finally getting around to listening to the user48736353001 playlist. There is some straight-up gold in here! I'm just 11 tracks in and have already starred 3-4 tracks that caught my attention.

It's pretty much chronological going from super early AFX to more complicated Tuss and Drukqs type tracks. From what I've heard down the grapevine at WATMM he isn't even close to done uploading.

debaserr 02-13-2015 06:42 PM

I don't think he's up to Drukqs quite yet, latest I have seen is 1996.

I could totally see this on druqks.

Edit: The cottage tracks sound very analordish too.

I think at the very beginning he was upping things from the beginning. Now it's a bit more varied, last track he uploaded was an unused and unfinished Hangable Auto Bulb track.

sidewinder 02-17-2015 05:12 PM

I still haven't finished, listened to a bunch on Friday but haven't continued. I wasn't too into the acid tracks that I heard - never been my favorite style.

JennyOndioline 02-26-2015 08:18 PM

Up to 173 as of today.

I didn't manage to snag Girl Boy (Dark Mix) but was the Red Calx song different than 4 Red Calx or 4 Red Calx[slo]? Because I have both of those.

If you look through his tracks again you'll notice 4 Red Calx is gone, that's the one I was talking about.

AFX CREAM

Sorry for the double post, but I thought I'd make a best of for this massive collection. I made a playlist and tried to make it flow from one track to the next for those who were too intimidated by the massive 175 track dump.

*breathes immense sigh of relief*

Shame that he took it down but maybe that means we'll get a properly mastered version soon?

Definitely gonna check out that playlist, because I've been doing the same and I want to compare the flow!

**** I missed this, will check it! I think this user died (in terms of activity) :(

New warp / aphex page that launched today has a bunch of old reissues that include unreleased tracks! I think there will be a lot more of this stuff coming soon too.

https://aphextwin.warp.net/

The Tuss tracks are pretty damn nice. Plus, a new closer to Syro!

"Missing track from Syro, didn't make it for technical and personal reasons. Drums were made on FOUR customised mid-racked Pearl syncussions, thanks to Colin Fraser and Tony Allgood."

GuD 08-13-2017 11:54 PM

new ep ishella good

debaserr 08-14-2017 12:48 AM

Which one? Do you mean the London recording?

Also, if anyone missed out on orphaned deejay selek the first time around, the new 2017 reissue has some incredible new tracks to go along with the already good EP.

DR Caveman 08-27-2017 04:45 AM

I don't listen to his albums, just musics I individually select, like Bucephalus Bouncing Ball (very original) and Attlas. He's quite an original.
