I love Chiastic Slide and I really need to acquire some more of their albums at some point.

I join the love of Autechre. Tri Repetae++ is fantastic. I am one of those that liked 2008's Quaristice.

A lot of 90s British electronic acts, although big in some circles, do go unnoticed. I'm not a huge fan of this so called IDM. (I hate that term )
Lots of good stuff, but some of it can get boring as well. Autechre definitely were getting it right. Most of their material has this industrial touch to it, which I have a huge soft spot for.

What I like about Autechre is that they can be cold, barren and mechanical but also strangely warm at the same time (often in the basslines).

I definitely know what you mean. There's a strangely organic quality to their music for me.

Another thing I love about them is that they make music that feels very much like a three-dimensional space that I can get lost in. There's something so intricate about their songs that I really do find myself submerged in the music when I listen.

Very dancable music. A local club plays them a lot and everyone is tripping and flowing with the music. When I'm there though, I am rarely thinking about the technical aspects of the music.

I've never thought of them as particularly danceable. That must be interesting to watch.

Personally, I like their first three albums and LP5. I know this is unfashionable, but I'm just being honest. I've tried with Untilted etc, God knows I've tried but I just don't get it.
