So fuck Kerry I'm down with Bush! |
lets not let this turn into a discriminatory debate.
|
Quote:
That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Really, why must you discriminate against someone's sexual preferences? And if you say that God or Jesus said that they are bad then you are partially right. He/they and most people say that homosexuality is wrong but not to discriminate against to them. You are acting stupid Nick. Grow up and make some constructive posts. |
that and...if you respected others beliefs, then you would realize that hey...maybe some people dont believe in the bible. so therefore...what "GOD" or "JESUS" said makes absolutely no difference to them. i dont believe in the bible, and i think that it is wrong for people to prevent other people from fulfilling their dreams simply because of their sexual prefference.

hahahah....
i think what he meant was that he supports gay rights. or were you trying to be sarcastic...? i probably just killed that. |
I voted Bush because im not totally for him but im not sure Kerry would have done close to as well even...Thats just my opinion i dont want any greenday fans bashing me now
|
No I mean he was going to allow civil unions. Thats not exactly in line with the homosexual communities agenda. While I don't find civil unions a compramise, I think Kerry was going for one to appease all sides of the union, which in my mind is how a leader should be, as compramising as he can be without getting absurd.
The bottom line is, people are deprived right based on something they did not choose to be. Thats the problem, theres nothing else to say about it except that in a nation that is "equality for all", we need to find a way to fix it. |

opinion...well....i voted kerry, but thats because his views are just a little more similar to my views than bush's. personally...i dont really like either of them. Quote:

Its not that its just lets say Kerry did get in and the whole 911 thing happened im just not sure how he would have handled it....i do not know about either very well so i was jut saying
|
lets not forget that kerry did not run against bush for the term in which that occurred.
would you have more redily voted for al gore? |

O wait.....:shycouch: |
I can't wait for the political bloodpool from Kerry's filibuster on Alito. I almost wish someone else was spearheading it besides him.
Honestly, I didn't really see the appeal of Kerry to the Democrats during the election. Probably among my least favorite of all the primary candidates (besides Lieberman and Clarke) Which by the way has been over for a year now. Time to move on. |
I agree I liked Dean alot more, but what you have to understand is that Kerry is a good politician, and just because he got labeled a "flip-flopper" which sounds like aword little children would use, he's not bad at all. His debate skills are impecable, he has served the country in war time, he's had innumerate years in government, he's not savagly liberal.
In the wolr dof politics, thats appealing. |
^ I think that was Kerry's biggest advantage over Dean. But, based on the results of the election, I almost want to believe that the Dems would have been better off putting up a neo far left liberal like Dean to combat the far right. Apparently, Democratic stragetists are still planning on moving more towards the middle in 2008 with their candidate, with more religious emphasis. Politics, *shrugs.
|
i vote bush.........because he won.
also cause i have the same sort of views as him. |
I want to know why a bunch of 15/16 year olds are saying "I voted Bush/Kerry", no you didn't, you didnt vote anybody. I am under the impression that we don't get that right until 18, and the reason we don't get that right until 18 is to keep immaturity out of the elections, which, from what I've read here is a great thing cough*babakeatwix*cough

I'm sorry that my post has caused such a commotion. I simply stated my opinion and I'm sorry if it has clashed with yours. The truth is that I don't dicscriminate ghays or anything but I don't like the concept of the same sex taking interest in each other. Plus I never stated that I voted in the election.

Uh, whether they are allowed marrige to each other or not, they will still "like" each other. If they didn't, they would't be getting married in the first place.
|
what he's saying is that he doesnt like the concept of homosexuality.
