Black Metal was for at least ten seconds metal that was to be played by blacks influenced by both rap and metal, but just shortly, a couple white guys calling themselves "Corn" copied the genre and called it nu-metal.

Venom later bought the rights to use the word "black metal" from the North American Negro Association (NANA).
