Has anyone seen this UK comedy called My Family? I think it's got the dude from American Beauty in it.

They've been playing it over here and holy crap it's amazing. Ben (the dad and the guy from AB) has his script made almost entirely of sarcastic retorts or smartarse attacks. Last nights one was particularly good, they both hate Susans (Bens wife) mother and she'd just given them a call.

Susan: *hangs up after call*
Ben: Who was it dear?
Susan: Shutup!
Ben: ha, ha, ha...your mother was it? (feeling smug that he didn't have to talk to her)
Susan: ...She's invited herself over for dinner...
Ben: *gets up and angrily starts smashing furniture with a rolled up newspaper while cursing*

I love it, my new favourite program

I`m not a huge fan of My Family but it does have some great one liners.

Yeah, sometimes I forget it has an actual plot as I'm always looking for lines like that.

Robert Lindsey is great.

I loved the episode of Extras where he`s trying to force My Family dvds onto this sick kid and doing a song & dance routine in his hospital room.
