It's just one of the backgrounds that was preloaded on the computer, but I thought it looked cool. Also, I strongly dislike a cluttered desktop.

^ Your desktop is the complete opposite of mine, which is so cluttered it would probably kill any OCD person. I'm always too busy to clean it up or put things in the right place!

The current desktop of the computer I'm typing this posting on:

Pretty messy for me. There's some files on it of music that was recommended to me a couple of minutes ago. There's a txt file with a mix tape project on the desktop and 'opruim' means 'clean up' .

I'll post some different desktops soon (have quite some PC's and two Macs. PC's are running everything from Ubuntu to Windows 3.11 to Windows 7 ).
