Oh I have, but when I see what kind of PC's you can get for free.
There's a Pentium IV 2.8ghz behind me that I got for free which runs just brilliant.
And my laptop, an IBM Z60m, which is really brilliant, was free, too.
I do buy a lot of second hand PC's for under 50 US dollars but I do buy a brand new PC every
now and then. I have to, because I edit video and photographs and this software gets heavier by the day.

I must admit I mainly use it to make tape indexes.
My grandpa used to have a little green binder in which he made indexes for the tapes he recorded.
I always loved that, but it took me years to be organized enough myself to do such a thing.
A couple of years ago I got exactly the same binder with a tapedeck I bought (I collect reel to reel tapedecks).
I immediately bought fresh paper for it and started a new tape indexing system.
Because the binder is green, I called the first tape 'green tape 1'.
Almost two years further now and I'm at green tape 43 by now :)
It's not really useful, but it's something I like to do.

That's really nice. I don't think I'm guitarded. I can read music and I used to be pretty good at playing piano back in my early teens. I stopped doing that when I was fourteen or so. I have a pretty nice acoustic guitar and it's really time I pick it up. I'm a bit ashamed of people hearing me practice, but I hope next year I'll have a house of my own and that'll be the moment to start practicing. I don't really want to play songs as such. If I could play the most common chords and sing along, I'd be happy :)

You'd love to have a van and drive too? And you have a thing with 25 and you can sing but don't really dare to and you like to be up at night? We should get along :D.
You know, this is never going to happen, but there's no harm in dreaming; If it were up to me, I'd say: Let's both make 25 mix tapes, buy a van and start an epic road trip with a lot of singing along to the tapes and your guitar.

Ok, I haven't done one of these since I first joined so I'll go ahead and make one.

1) I like cats better than dogs, but mostly because I was allergic to cats when I was little. I was always so upset I couldn't hold one of those little fuzzballs, so when I got older and learned about the immune system in biology I set out to de-allergize myself. I got a cat and suffered through 2 weeks of red eyes and the sneezes, but I got myself a cat. Now I love em.

2) I have been so focused recently on finding a girl who is not white that now white people don't really even attract me. Luckily, this seems to be working out in my favor because I've been working on a cute Indian girl...

3) I am almost done with graduate school applications. If I don't get in anywhere else, I have to stay here in Indiana. I really REALLY hope that doesn't happen.

4) I keep checking facebook hoping the girl I just mentioned would get on. Then when she does, I just sit there hoping she will be the one to initiate the conversation. That's pretty sad...

5) I believe in statistical karma.

6) I recently tried out a dating site and ended up dating a paraplegic who stole my first season of the x files.

7) My ipod is the one possession that I would kill over. I would almost kill for my guitar, but not quite.

It's been a while, so here goes...

1. I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

2. I love being single.

3. I support Wigan Athletic, and I get constant stick for it from my flatmate. Apparently I know nothing about football because of it.

4. I always shut him by pointing out the irony of a Man U fan from London saying that though.

5. I have 2 second teams, one of which is QPR, seeing as there's a long line of their supporters on my Mum's side of the extended family. My Grandad was an apprentice at Loftus Road as well.

6. The other's Exeter City, seeing as I was born there and all.

7. I support Wigan because my Uncle's got a property in nearby Ince. He knew I loved football, and was friendly with a ticket tout who got me in on the cheap whenever I was up there. Don't worry - I started buying my tickets legally when I could pay for them myself :p: They were the first football team I ever watched though (a 1-1 home draw with Notts County in December 2001 to be exact), so there's my exuse for supporting them.

8. The last football match I attended was when Wigan lost 3-0 at home to Blackburn Rovers. I think it was Boxing Day (certainly near the end of) 2006. Morten Gamst Pedersen and Steve Morrison scored two of the best goals I've ever seen that day.

9. The worst match I ever watched in Wigan was when we lost 1-0 to Wimbledon. To put that into perspective, the Dons were bottom of the table and were on a run of 12 successive defeats before playing us.

10. I do actually talk about things other than football.

11. I'm in the middle of writing a war movie for my dissertation.

12. I was really excited about it at first, as it's something I've never done before, but to be honest I'm just glad most of the hard work's done already.

13. The worst film I've ever seen is a 3-way tie between North, Highlander 2 and Batman & Robin.

14. One of my life ambitions is to flip a box of pizza out of someone's hands while they're eating from it and run off.

17. While I don't go for any particular 'look' with the way I dress, 99% of days I find myself wearing buttoned charity shop shirts and jeans.

While I've jammed with mates randomly a few times down the years, I've only ever been in one gigging band, and even that was only three performances for about a month back when I lived in Scotland. That was a 3-piece Beatles cover band. I played bass and sang the odd McCartney tune, my favourite one to do by far being Kansas City/Hey Hey Hey Hey.

19. One of the other lads in the band was in the navy, a diehard Beatles fan and one of the most down-to-earth and all-round nice people you could ever wish to meet. The other was an unemployed, very-scary-yet-pretty-damn-sound-when-you-got-to-know-him Rolling Stones fanboy, and a very aggressive drunk - basically exactly the kinda bloke you'd want on your side in a fight. I miss those guys - they were fucking legends.

20. I'm bored of my hair colour and seriously considering dying it red when I get some more cash in.

21. My current flatmates are nice enough I guess, but I basically consider them just a bunch of guys I live with rather than mates (unlike previous flats I've found myself in).

22. I like to think I'm fairly easy to get on with, but it takes a lot for me to genuinely see eye-to-eye to someone and thus call them a true friend of mine.

23. I've still got bits of work to do, but I'm at that stage of a semester where most of the hard work's done and I can't really be bothered to do much other than eat, drink, watch Nostalgia Critic videos and sleep (whether it's coursework I'm meant to be doing or not).

24. I don't eat fast food very much at all anymore, but out of it all my favourite kind of it would be a fat donner kebab, no salad with about a truckload of chili sauce over it.

124 miles... holy balls. I did 150 on my dirtbike in one day and I thought THAT was tough. Granted, it was across the Utah mountainside...

it was from Seattle to Port Townsend and back....which is pretty much a relaxing hilly ride.....the worst part was getting back to downtown Seattle and having to ride the three miles back to my house which is all up massive hills :)

Crohn's?

oh...actually it's a bit weird i was originally Chronic Ulcerative colitis....which is basically just like Crohn's but only affects the large intestine versus the entire digestive system....i had it removed in march 2009 and they reconstructed my small bowel to also act as the large bowel....in January of 2010 i was re-admitted into the hospital with bleeding and cramps and they discovered that the disease had actually morphed into Crohn's....which so far has been pretty mild and treatable with meds.....i got the best of both worlds

rough scene dude. my roommate got diagnosed with Crohn's a few years ago after having to fight with doctors for YEARS to get tested. apparently it's not considered a thing to check for in Canada, 'probably just indigestion...'

definitely doesn't seem like fun and it makes me far more appreciative of my own working plumbing. good luck with that. really hope they find a better cure than just hot swapping meds ahead of the eventual stomach cancer 'side effect'. at least that's the Canadian version of treatment.

that sucks....when i first started having symptoms...back in 2002 i took 12 days in the hospital before the decided to scope me and then one day later i was diagnosed....so i kind of understand

thanks man :)....i hope it stays in remission they said if a i have another major flare up that they will have to reverse the "j pouch" and i'll have to spend the rest of my life with a chunk of my intestine hanging out of my abdomen!....i had to do it for three months and it was horrible

ouch, in that case i hope you have better meds than my roommate or a more disciplined diet. he gets flare ups every couple of months, but he usually owns up to causing them himself (sometimes steak just smells a little TOO tasty). he had to spend about a week in the hospital to get his proper diagnosis once they finally decided that it might actually be more than acid reflux.

and yeah, colostomy bags are nasty! i remember a guy who had a motorcycle accident years ago and had to deal with one for a while during his recovery because the handlebars literally tore him a new one. he'd go to the bar and ask people if they wanted to see what he had for lunch earlier that day then pull it open for them. words cannot describe the grossness hahaha

Lol, I know the screwdriver thing sounds messed up but I was quite lucky it hit me in the nose rather than the eye.

1. I don't mind being a loner but I'm very socialable and make friends easily.

2.) My most traumatic experience was having a gun pulled on me at the mall when I lived in North Carolina. I was 12. The gentleman with the gun couldn't have been more than 14. Gang activity was pretty heavy there.
3.) I can juggle, ride a unicycle, walk on stilts, and make awesome balloon animals. Probably because I wanted to be a clown for a period of time.
4.) I was supposed to play softball for a division 1 school, but completely ruined my entire college experience and never made it to the spring semester.

He's not the first person I've heard tell that tale so apparently sometimes heroin looks like coke.

I don't believe that, if he would have snorted a line of "china white" he probably would have died.
