I miss my snake. His name was "Patches". He was a ball python. We got him when i was around 12 or so. Then he ran away or something. Snakes are such good pets.

He's awesome! I've always wanted a snake but we don't have then in New Zealand. So he doesn't bite then?

No snakes will not bite you if they are bred captive. UNLESS they are put on the ground. When they are put on the ground instinct kicks in and they want to hunt. So then you have to deal with little nips from him. These snakes fangs are'nt very big about 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch big. When they bite (If they get pissed enoughe to do so) it dose'nt hurt anymore than a beesting.
I personally think snakes are better than any dog with kids. They stick there tounge out as to "lick" you to see if you are threatening or not. But yeah I have been bit by him but the only time i was bit was when i had his food in my hand ( live mouse) and i guess he was real hungry. But by far snakes are great loveable pets.

Thats odd. I dont know too much about pythins, but my uncle was feedin our Boa a rat, and he jumped up for no reason bit my uncle on the nose. My uncle had a broken nose and either got stitches or a b-fly because it rocked his world. I do know however that there are many snakes bred captive that still bite, and also snakes very rarely bite out of anger. I've owned many other breeds of snakes, like rats, corns, garters, racers, water bandits, ring neck, vine, and even a coral one time, to name a few. I grew up on a farm and also had pretty much every animal as a pet at one point. From an alligator to a squirrel. I miss them all very dearly.

And how the hell does a python run away?
