Unless I was into film or photo editing would be the only reason why I would ever want to buy one.

I also am far from being rich. Macs are essentially cool, and the basis behind them being trendy is that they work. Well. With little to no headaches. Period.

Macs are far from being expensive when you look at it from the perspective of purchasing a computer as a substantial investment, and one that should be consistently reliable over a long period of time. Macs are not susceptible to a fraction of the viruses that PC's are, That's really an understatement. They are immensely more user friendly; systemically they are built much better, and because they are built to uniform standards by the same company that created their operating system, and because they were designed to work exclusively with the Mac OS, they are considerably more efficient and less problematic.

As Janzoon said, in the short term Macs are more expensive, but in addition to the reasons he expressed, factoring in the cost of epair, replacement and lost files and productivity as a result of viruses makes Macs a much more frugal investment.

Also, 10 years ago there was some strength to the argement of Macs being strictly designed and useful to those in the design and graphics field, but Macs have become infinitely more versatile since then. It makes me laugh to see the sour grapes arguments of PC users for why they would not purchase a mac, and to hear the stereotypes of Mac owners. They are just higher quality machines. That's the only reason I own one. That, and they're super sexy.

I guess the proper way would be "I have OCD".

Damn "im aids" is a little harsh but i guess it works. I would have went with '"im ADD" for a proper comparison. I hear "IM ADD" to much.

lol.. sorry about that. I went with that comparison to emphasize my confusion in terms that would be apparent to those who aren't as confused about it as I am.
(I didn't mean it to be derogatory to anyone here)

I guess I can see it coming from a necessity of efficiency where you may not have any other alternative to using a noun as an adjective.
I just figured it started from some illiterate ignoramus and spread enough until it seemed normal. Now that I look at it, I don't see how else you can say "I'm obsessive"...
