I agree with you completely, jibber. The "when" is very important. But I do think sometimes certain people are a better fit than others. The way life is, though, most people just don't have time to have a lot of long-term significant others (to test compatibility), so the selection pool of potential spouses is pretty small. I think people who meet and find they click really well, and then are actually able to get married, are very lucky.

I think you are right: people are having their child at an older age, and for women this has positives and negatives. Delaying having a child lets you focus on your career, your personal dreams. I was like that up to age 30. But then after 30, women often start to run into fertility problems, so when you know you want a child that's something to consider, as is discussed at this website:

Wow...even on an internet post you manage to curse like a middle age person. I wouldn't want you using foul language anyway...it would upset the order of my world.

Yes (sigh), foul language just doesn't roll easily off my tongue. But I gave it my all. I actually said damn!
