Congratulations, Astronomer! I volunteer at a shelter myself. The teeming city is crammed with street dogs struggling for survival day in day out. I do look up to those who give them a big hand. A pooch is a wondrous creature.

I don't even know if I'm a cat or a dog person.

Easily solved, would you rather clean out a kitty litter box or curb your dog by picking up poopy with a plastic bag.

I like both cats and dogs. Dogs are loyal and loving, cats are mysterious and independent. All fine qualities.

I prefer dogs, since dogs are always happy while cats are trying to be cool. Poseurs.
Also, dog people go outside, while cat people are on the internet.

All generalisations are false. Including this one.

I like both tbh.

I think cats can be loyal also. My cat is always happy to see me, he tried to follow me out the other day and kept meowing, I didn't want him to cos I didn't want him to walk in the road and get hit by a car.

I felt bad all day then gave him a hug when I got in.

Not really, cats can vary widely, my cat acts like a dog and is fiercely loyal to me, but I raised/bottlefed him so I think he may think hes a human being.

Also my dog would attack if you tried to cuddle him, so wasn't really very loving.
