There is a sense of freedom and release being able to be that free, to where you can be that evil, if that's who you truly are and as much as it's not my personal cup of tea, I can see it, understand it, and feel the joker represents that for people who are that way.... But there is also a power and spot light sharing that goes on between the two, much like the struggle present with in most people, whether they are aware of it or not... It's yin and yang baby...

So I disagree with the argument that the joker gets all the press...
I was talking about just villains. And I do kinda identify with the Joker. Not in a murdery way, but his whole philosophy of the world being screwed up to the point where he's decided to take it as a joke. I've long since given up giving a **** about politics, the nature of man, the direction of society, etc and now take amusement in many things that my fellow people insist on caring about.

How do you figure she wasn't a love interest? There are soo many villains in in Batman's rouges gallery she could have been getting it upside down and sideways, she didn't necessarily have to be getting it from the dark knight... You don't know, nosy... And don't tell me you wouldn't sell your soul for one night in her bedroom...You naughty thing you...
I would.

How do you forget about the awesomeness that is Harley Quinn, there was no method to her madness the girl was a crazy as crack, so you know not only was she the kinda broad that would tie you to a chair and pull your finger nails out with pliers, she would also keep you laughing in the most sadistic and taboo ways... Hott!!
I love Harley, but I can't really take her seriously as a villain. She's the Robin to the Joker's Batman.

Like as in an actual love interest? I always thought that was a fanboy fantasy rather than anything real.

I thought they were a real couple after awhile but they were just really close friends and yeah they are a fanboy fantasy.

I looked it up to make sure. I thought them being a couple was mentioned in the Sirens series but looking it up to refreshing my memory showed nothing of the sort.

Actually the cartoon was where she came from. She was just so popular that they added her in the comic too. But still. She's a sidekick. And she doesn't bring the sci fi/horror.

She does have super strength though and Poison Ivy gave her immunity to poisons.

I like her humor far more than J-man that she's always fawning over.

You are correct there...but she does bring, psychosis, and gives the joker a certain folie au deux...that can't be achieved by the joker alone...

I always thought it was a thing about the Joker that his jokes are usually lame.

Another reason why the cartoon was brilliant. She could have easily been a boring, throw away character, but she turned out to be a perfect showcase for the Joker's craziness that kind of got lost since he couldn't go around murdering people on a kid's show.

I'd have loved it if they did. I guess the moment has passed, but it would be epic if they'd done a more adult version.

And I loved Beyond. Pretty much every DC cartoon they were doing were absolute gold. Even Superman cartoon was pretty damn good. And I was a teenager when Batman Beyond came around so it was perfect timing. That was another thing that could have fallen on its face, but they did the perfect thing with the relationship between Bruce and Terry. A mirror of the father/son thing with Batman and Robin but with a depressing vibe due to Bruce's failures in the past.

Yes, they did do it well I loved it... I enjoyed the constant futurized darkness, and still using Kevin Connory was brilliant...

I gotta say the superman done by Paul Dini was good too, so...Any of that era kids show I dig, and I didn't get into them till my late teens very early 20's...

You ever watch the new x men? x men evolution, well done as well....
