Each and every one of us are actively insulting ourselves by spending our time on a music forum in 2020, I mean come on really

The Batlord 12-31-2020 07:14 PM

The only reason your wife will stay with you is financial reasons.

YorkeDaddy 12-31-2020 07:45 PM

Better than no woman being interested in you for any reason

The Batlord 12-31-2020 07:50 PM

Better than being with any woman who would find you worthwhile. I'll stick with the bottle.

YorkeDaddy 12-31-2020 07:56 PM

Imagine being able to have the bottle AND someone other than your mom to spend the rest of your life with

The Batlord 12-31-2020 08:09 PM

Imagine sparing your life between solving computer problems for boring dinner class people and another one you're married to. Like a never ending LL Bean catalog.

I do boring thing and get a lot of money to pursue every hobby I can imagine

You do boring thing and get no money so you have to spend all of your free time on MusicBanter

The Batlord 12-31-2020 08:17 PM

What hobby do boring man do?

YorkeDaddy 12-31-2020 08:26 PM

To answer your question while also going off on a tangent, I have too many hobbies and it creates this weird psychological phenomenon where I have too much choice to the point where sometimes I just kind of sit around and stare into space

I think it’s a fascinating result of modern society where it’s so easy to have access to practically infinite amounts of entertainment. It creates a toxic effect on the brain. Quiet solitude feels abnormal. My brain constantly wants to be listening to something or engaging in something. I can’t even sit down and eat a meal without needing like a video or show to watch alongside it. I consider this unhealthy and terrifying. What will the current generation of children turn into? My youngest brother is 11, and it feels like his attention span is nonexistent. It freaks me out.

Thanks for coming to my ted talk or whatever
