It's been 56 years since the Mexico World Cup. To this day, they haven't found a football player who shone so brightly wearing the number 10 shirt.

Default Dalto - Falta te Dizer

Dalto
"Falta te dizer"
(I still need to tell you)

A song of exceptional quality and superb emotion.
A landmark in Dalto's repertoire, who had a successful career.
It is unknown why Dalto switched from music to medicine.

Falta te dizer
I still have to tell you
Quase tudo
Almost everything
Se o coração deixar
If my heart allows it
Tempo não vou ter
I won't have time
A canção pode acabar
The song might end

Please wait for the complete posts when I can send the videos.

Since you are Dutch, I will give you a special explanation about the opening samba of this topic. The samba was composed before Brazil's participation in the 1974 World Cup. Pelé had retired that year and there was no one with the same talent for coach Zagalo to choose from.

In that World Cup, the Netherlands, or "Clockwork Orange," enchanted the world with the "Dutch Carousel" tactic. The Dutch National Team eliminated Brazil with a score of 2-0, with goals from Neeskens and Cruyff.

Many years ago a Brazilian guy in one of my internet hangouts got me into The Tribalistas, which was a one-off-album band that was sort of the Brazilian equivalent of The Traveling Wilburys. where 3 well-known Brazilian artists got together to do an album.

The entire album is very catchy filled with songs that will get stuck in your head.

After this guy introduced me to this album I went into a Brazilian music spree for a while.

The Tribalistas, formed by Marisa Monte, Carlinhos Brown, and Arnaldo Antunes, always functioned as a collaborative project and not as a fixed group. After the resounding success of their debut album in 2002, they paused their activities to focus on their solo careers. They returned in 2017 with a new album and tour, ending this cycle at the Lollapalooza festival in April 2019.

A seta e o alvo
Canção de Paulinho Moska

The Arrow and the Target
Song by Paulinho Moska

Eu falo de amor à vida, você de medo da morte
Eu falo da força do acaso e você, de azar ou sorte
Eu ando num labirinto e você, numa estrada em linha reta
Te chamo pra festa mas você só quer atingir sua meta

I speak of love for life, you of fear of death
I speak of the power of chance, and you, of bad luck or good luck
I walk in a labyrinth, and you, on a straight road
I invite you to the party, but you only want to reach your goal

Sua meta é a seta no alvo
Mas o alvo, na certa não te espera

Your goal is to hit the target with the arrow.
But the target, for sure, isn't waiting for you.
