Green Day vs. Oasis
 

It's pretty clear Oasis is the much better band of the two, although all the hoopla over American Idiot would say differently. I'm thinking Green Day and the album are both overrated. Oasis is the greatest band of the 90's, not just out of Britain. Although I'm sure Americans will disagree.

Threads like this suck it all depends on personal preference and it really accomplishes nothing except band b being better like than band c.They have very different styles how can you even compare the two? It also doesnt matter cause neither of them are that great.

I don`t think i`ve used the words Oasis & quality in the same sentence since about 1996

if you actually gave any Oasis cd a good listen you'rer eyes'll be opened. just coz an Oasis single hasn't hit number 1 on yer top 40 ****e doesn'tr mean anything. there i no doubt the sound of oasis has changed, but it's a good listen.

ok... both bands=not very original really, kinda suck...no they both suck. i would go with oasis because i liked that wonderwall single. f*ck green day. oh and yes i have heard green days entire discography and i have Oasis's What's the Story, so dont pull that "u dont like them cuz u didnt give them a chance sh*T

Race is a social construct, Americans could be a race.

I like my Green Day. I wouldn't say they suck. But I wouldn't say Oasis sucks either. They're quite different. But I still like Green Day better. And no, I didn't just start listening to them now that American Idiot came out. I have loved/liked Green Day since I was what, 11?

Although they could be a race, that doesn't mean that they are a race. The social construct idea means that people have to label themselves - and those who they recognise as sharing a chosen set of characteristics with them - as a race.

So to be a race, Americans or Canadians have to start referring to themselves and each other (or being referred to) as being part of a race based on their nationhood. Until this happens, Canadians aren't a race. According to that silly theory.

They're two totally different bands.
You can't say who's better.

I don't know too much about Greenday, but since I don't like oasis, I think my pick would be the green band :)

I would say Green Day was way better. Oasis barely even wrote theyre own lyrics. All their hit songs were covers and they killed it when they changed their vocals.
