Bit difficult to do a search for this, so we'll see if this dies a horrible, painful death.

Basically, you download the plugin for whichever media player you use to play stuff on your PC, and it keeps a log of everything you play. Only music, for all those who enjoy a little porn, no need to worry. Dunno if anyone else uses it, but if there's enough interest then there could be a group started for the entire forum, which would keep a record of the tracks and bands that are most popular among the peeps each week.

After you've played enough tracks of your own it also opens up the chance to listen to similar bands to those on your playlist, and I've discovered a few pretty cool new bands from that in the last couple of months.

Plus you can find out who's secretly listening to Hanson, and mock them.

I see from this that you have a soft spot for the 'Wolf Parade' album. I didn't like it so much. Does it need repeated listening to grow on you? Or am I past help?

I liked it upon first listen, so I guess you either like it or you don't.

That is a bit odd

Sort of, most of the artist pages have samples of the songs people are listening to, plus you can start up the neighbour radio once you've played a decent number of tracks which basically plays things on the playlists of those members you share a few bands in common with.

I'll walk you through what i did.
I use windowsmediaplayer.

*clicks downloads*
What do you play your music with?
*clicks windows media player*
*installs*
*plays music on windows media player*
*goes back a day later it doesn't work*

Go to the Tools menu on Windows Media Player
Select Plug-Ins
Tick the box on Audioscrobbler or LastFM plug-in, whichever it's called.

Should work.
