Nah I didn't see them when they were last year either! Did you?

Yeah, I doubt I'll end up going. I spent all of my money on Soundwave and Big Day Out!

still exciting to see Malkmus back on this side of the universe...no doubt it's a cash grab but it could be interesting if it leads to some other goodies.
yeah no question! but it's Pavement innit, laaav and in the wobblies. This event has prompted me to bother hearing Terror Twilight for the first time, great album.
You might be going to ATP to catch them? it's still not the thriftiest festival in the world.. they have one in the UK at camber sands that is out-and-out extortion, and the platform of choice for reforming 'alt' icons... the Pixies lead the way with this trend, now they really knew how to milk it

I'll be going to Maryland Deathfest at the end of May. They've actually got some pretty quality stuff in the line-up for this year, including Possessed, Pentagram and Eyehategod, so I'm definitely psyched.

I'm not a huge death metal fan, but MDF is kind of the official annual meet-up place for this other forum I post at, and it's pretty awesome to share a hotel room with a bunch of Internet buddies and party all weekend, so that's a lot of my justification for going. This'll be my third year doing it.

Well, I've definitely got Flogging Molly in February.

And then Henry Rollins is doing a spoken word gig in March.

I'm going to noise pop this year. Lineup is sick, should be good times.

I've been to Soundwave the past couple of years, but I've never been to Big Day Out before purely because of how immensely difficult it is to get tickets. I know people who missed out on Melbourne tickets, so they bought Adelaide tickets and actually drove to Adelaide to be able to go to BDO. It's insane. So yeah, I'm pretty excited

You should be, it sounds awesome. I'd love to go but like ya said it's hard to get tix.
