I haven't been to a gig since October 16th last year, which was Bloc Party. I did go to Leeds Festival this year, though, but that's not a gig

Anyway, stuff I'd like to go to, if I 1/ had the money and 2/ was living where I am for the next 42 weeks:

Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly - Nottingham Rock City - September 28th
Fightstar - Nottingham Rock City - October 14th
Chikinki - Mansfield Town Mill - October 20th
The Fratellis - Nottingham Trent Uni - October 20th (clash anyway!)
The Magic Numbers - Derby Assembly Rooms - November 12th
Muse - Nottingham Arena - November 16th
Tool - Nottingham Arena - December 1st
Kasabian - Nottingham Arena - December 15th

Look at that! So many gigs around where I currently live and in a month I move up north!

I'm going to see The Mars Volta, Built to Spill, Tom Petty, Jurassic 5, The Roots, and about a zillion other amazing bands at Vegoose. I'm so pumped. Who else is going?

I found someone in my rock and roll history class that is going to Dragonforce in a few weeks! I was suprised. He said to my professor "If we're going to a concert for a band you will probably not recognize, do you want a ticket stub? Cause I'm going to one at Harpos at the end of september and I'm sure you dont know them." So I saw him after class and asked him "You're going to Dragonforce, right" He said yeah and I added "You look like a Dragonforce fan." He had the long hair going, an iron maiden tee. Just looked like a guy that listened to Dragonforce...

So message of this little story: I am DEFINATELY going to Dragonforce in a few weeks.

Denton's the next town to me...sadly in a totally different country though.
A Flaming Lips gig review would be good though.
