Byrne's coming here too, but I've kind of gone off him in the past few years for reasons too ...
ummm ... complicated(?) to go into here. Years ago, when our band played for his wedding,
he was kind of a fun guy.

That Muñoz concert tho - whoa... this is still a favorite 40 years later:

Psyched about going to Big Ears again.
Got to hear and meet lots of great musicians last year.
Last month: got the tickets, airfare, hotel room, and the rental car,
so I'm all set for this!

Aren't they gonna be in San Jose in a month?
They come here, but in late April. I should be
back in town by then.

Unfortunately, the 7 hour stint is enough to hold me back.

Boot & Saddle. I don't know if you know Philly music venues, but it's a surprisingly small club for them to be playing at. I'm pretty excited about that.

Super torn on whether I should see Eyvind Kang or Bill Orcutt. Don't know anything about the other two bands on each night.
Going with Option B because they switched out ****ty Kevin Royal Johnson for Devendra Banhart.

Seeing Lightning Bolt at the end of March too (@ Big Ears).
Are Marsalis and Corea playing in one band together
or is one opening for the other?
This new thing Corea's done with Gadd,
Chinese Butterfly, is pretty decent.
