Meshuggah are touring with LoG. Not a fan of LoG but will go to see Meshuggah. Waiting for them to tour.

Going to see these again on Friday. Decent local (ish) band.
Saw McCartney last night at Barclay's when my friends nephew got sick and I filled in. 38 songs. Not bad..

Concerts?
Anyone going to any good concerts or festivals this summer?
The Cat Empire concert I've been waiting to see for years is finally going to happen. Check 'em out if you haven't heard them!

Kendrick Lamar in St.Augustine FL

I'm torn between Beck or Silversun Pickups in New York. Has anyone seen either?
I am off to see Fozzy, Children of Bodom, 30 Seconds to Mars and Papa Roach :)
I'm going to Gaither Fest (gospel). The Gaithers have written some of the most famous songs in gospel music such as He Touched Me. For ones who don't know who I'm talking about, they are Bill and Gloria Gaither. I have known of them for years but only really gotten into their music as much after Bill hired David Phelps. David is probably one of the best gospel tenors around. The Gaither Vocal Band is my favorite gospel group :)

Karnivool, for the bazillionth time, but can't wait to check out their new album...
New Order in a few weeks. I guess I should get some of their more recent stuff before I go.
The Menzingers - "The Obituaries" - YouTube Well, after getting ****ed over and missing out on tickets for my local venue (Cardiff, about half hour away in a regular pub joint) and the giant **** up that was Hevyfest this year where they were supposed to appear, I just so happened to get the last two tickets to see them in Leeds. Four or five hours travel but I'm well happy. Now I just need to hope the one guy I know in leeds lives somewhere easy to find... Fookin get in. Unay. UNAY! :band: |
There aren't any concert plans on the horizon. I may go to one when I am in Portland next month. Previous ones I have gone to are Steel Pulse and Immortal Technique.
I've got T in the Park next weekend, woooooot!! I seriously cannot wait. Probably going to see Mumford and sons and a few other bands then spend my weekend in the slam tent!
I'm seeing Elvis Costello this summer - so excited! :)
Devin Townsend in October. Glad Australia is starting to get pretty quality musicians playing live this year.

DAMN YOU!
I knew there was a reason I didn't like you very much. |
I never liked you and your damn good concerts either. Payback mate.
Hehe, I am rather jealous of this one! I hope you have a great time.
They're just doing US and Australia at the moment. I'm sure they'll eventually go back to the UK. Didn't they play in May last year?
Beautiful Days festival and then Gogol Bordello.
My first time going to a festival and it's going to be Electric Zoo!
The lineup is at that link if you want to check it out. I'm so pumped for it. Made Event presents Electric Zoo, New York's Electronic Music Festival |
My band and I could possibly (slim chance yet still a chance) open up for Sublime with Rome and Pennywise on Saturday at the Pony because the guys that were gonna open canceled last minute. I submitted the form and everything now I just need to wait for them to announce whom they select.
If we don't get picked then I'm still gonna go cause it's gonna be a sick show. |
Gonna see El-P and Killer Mike Friday.
Just gonna leave this here as i've seen many people talk about this band in the past few weeks. Not a bad venue to see a band. http://www.detroitbar.com/event/3312...ns-costa-mesa/ |

Really pumped for this one! The guy who organises it is the singer in local stoner metal band Druganaut. Last years was wicked, with Conan and Bong co-headlining it. This year I am really looking forward to one of the Bong guitarists many other bands, Haikai No Ku, after a couple of good demos and their first full album which was pressed earlier this year. Space-rock influenced by lots of Japanese jam-bands. Black Magician are a British traditional doom band and seem to be receiving rather a lot of hype as of late. I'm not sold on them yet so welcome the opportunity to see them live. Humanfly are a band I like but feel I may still be somewhat on the fence, so again I'm looking forward to seeing them. He's done very well to get these two booked. I missed them both at Desert Fest in Camden, London earlier in the year due to clashes with other bands. The line-up has been amended since the flyer was made, I think, as I don't think Nately's are there, which is a shame. They are very good live and they have been replaced by Lords of Bastard and also, the first band on (not on the flyer), White Veil, are playing their very first gig - so I'm looking forward to checking them out. I also know Corpse Twitcher, and he tends to play some really ****ing bizarre noise/electronica/terrifying madness. Always good fun. |
ZZ Top on 10/05 and In This Moment on Halloween
Just noticed this? Didn't Deal leave the band whos on bass? Weird.
