yeah I'm feeling lazy so I'm just going to hijack this thread.....

What's so great about seeing your favorite band in concert? I've never been to a concert before but if/when I do go to one it won't be to see my favorite band....I don't want to go see one of my favorites and be disappointed with their live sound.....I'm probably going to have my expectations high because I want to hear the same things I did in the studio version.

More often than not, the music sounds ten times better live...and most bands don't change the music so drastically that you'd dislike it...in my experience at least.

OT: I'm going to try and see Caribou on March the 5th and/or Gogol Bordello on April 10th...

I haven't got a hell of a lot of money right now, but I'd like to attend Sonic Youth, Okkervil River, Jakob and Immortal. It would have been nice to see Incubus, the Pumpkins and QOTSA, but I don't have the money and tickets are going quickly.

Maiden and Porcupine Tree are playing in Australia but skipping NZ.

If that's the case then your favorite band is probably shit.

NZ is generally horrible for concerts, but one good thing is that I can see Jakob fairly often. I saw them 3 times last year and I'll be seeing them in March/April.
