I'd say your crowning achievement would be Radiohead (i count them there because they released some albums post Jan 1, 2000).

Arctic Monkies was a really nice addition to the canon and Franz Ferdenand never disappoints.

Are them the only British bands you like?! After that massive list of American bands. You either don't care for much British music or we actually have been THAT poor in the 00s.

No thats what I came up with off the top of my head. But I'm sure theres a cultural divide. I mean a lot of what you guys like isn't that appealing to me.

Stone Roses
The Prodigy
Much of latter day Oasis
Keane
Whatever band did "cash machine"
Snow Patrol

I'm constantly met with brits here and else where who don't get Springsteen and Dave Matthews so its probably a culture thing but it is what it is. If music had a taste, most british music would have a tarty after-taste for me. Too much electronica fused in there, or sappy balladry that just doesn't fly.

Disclaimer: For christ sake this was off the cuff, if you're going to flip out and hold me to this for months, go F.

Yeah I don't get Springsteen either. I think my list of British bands for the 00s:

Arctic Monkeys
Band of Skulls
Blood Red Shoes
Editors
Frank Turner
Frightened Rabbits
The Horrors
Kasabian
The Libertines
Manic Street Preacher (even though their best work was in the 90s)
Muse
Stornoway
Villagers

Pretty poor list considering I'm British.

Muse, honestly, should be a point deduction. They are ****ing terrible.

The Libertines had so much promise. Such a sad story.

Muse aren't terrible at all, although if someone only listened to their last effort they would think that. Origin of Symmetry and Absolution were great albums.

They did, I think they're gonna record again. 5 years too late though.

It means he's stating English bands he liked, since I asked for English bands people liked. He maybe should've quoted my comment but ah well.

It would be a great honor for me to bestow upon you such a manifest:

1. mclusky
2. Future of the Left

The preceding bands are both British, henceforth I listed them. They share lead vocalists, henceforth the association. Carry on with further discourse...
