Agree as well. I switched to MediaMonkey a few weeks ago, away from Winamp, and I'm completely sold. It's awesome.

^Interesting link there. Poor WMP...ends up looking pretty sh*tty if you go through and check out all the ratings for specific areas. Comes in last or tied for last in every category but one I think. ><

I've never used Itunes, but it doesn't look like it is much of an improvement judging by that battle.

Actually, at the end of everything they have who had the most wins.

The line-up is:
Media Monkey - 18
Winamp - 16
WMP - 13
Itunes - 10

I started using it this past year. It's convenient. Not only for music purchases, but I also have bought ring tones, a movie, and some tv shows.

Being that it's the default music player for Mac I've never used anything else. It is quite the memory hog though, but the fact that the Itunes store is my favorite place to e-browse and that I'm really not OCD at all about organizing my music makes that flaw quite negligiable.

basically everyone here that just said they use winamp should be sued because you are downloading illegal MP3s,
If you download from Napster you will not be able to play the files in winamp you have to use windows media
thats what use.. of course

That's actually not true at all. I used WinAmp for the longest time and I've barely had any trace of illegal music on my computer. I go out and buy a CD and then I "rip" the CD to mp3s and play them through WinAmp. That way I can easily switch between CDs without having to eject my CD and put in a new one.

I just switched over to iTunes from using WinAmp. It's definitely superior in all ways.

well I "Rip" my CDs also but I use Windows Media Player for doing so leaving with a better quality and smaller file (WMA). The files can then be easily put into a playlist or onto a portable player. Winamp was created especially for MP3s on peer-peer networks... so maybe it's innacturate to say if you have it ur downloading illegal music, but it's a good generalization
