Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

I liked Uncle Tupelo but for some reason I never really looked into Wilco until now. Considering how highly regarded this album is on both this forum and other forms of media I expect it to make my head explode with awesomeness. If I am not wiping awesomeness off my computer monitor later on tonight I am going to be very disappointed.

Takes 2 or 3 listens to sink in,but it is AWESOME.

It's been highly regarded on this forum, as one of the best from the 60s. I think I'll enjoy it (hopefully). :D

I'm not wiping awesomeness off my monitor but it is steadily perspiring out my pores. If I were to fuse Pitchfork Media's review numbering with that of a tape measure I'd give the album a 9.3 and a cunt hair.

Fair To Midland "The Carbon Copy Silver Lining"

Sounds a hell of a lot different than Fables From A Mayfly. It's wilder, screamier, heavier, and far more experimental. Not as strong, but it's definitely a lot of fun. They sound as much like Protest The Hero and System Of A Down on this album as they do present day Fair To Midland.

First new music for a while. The Groundhogs one's something my brother was kind enough to send my way, and the other two are in the name of whittling away at the bits of Tom Waits' discography that I don't yet have. Either way, I won't exactly be bored for the next few hours.
