You sure you're not thinking of Low? I thought it was pretty energetic stuff.

Todeskult's Als Die Farben Älter Wurden

Well I mentioned in the "Most Depressing Band / Song(s)" thread that Suicidal/Depressive Black Metal is the most expository name for a genre.. and what's on this cover might you ask? Judging by his arm placement and the wooden planks under a long metal rail, I'd say he's laying himself on some train tracks. That doesn't seem like a very good idea! Sillyman

Emperor - In the Nightside Eclipse

I've always had a small interest in metal, but it wasn't until really recently that I actually started exploring it on my own. I think all the dreampop I have been listening to recently has created a craving for the total opposite.

I'm sure posting this album shows my metal newbieness to all you metalheads out there, but I'm working on it...

No that's actually a great album! If you're looking into getting some more Black Metal then I could definitely give you some suggestions

I am definitely open to them! It feels like something just kind of "clicked" recently with this type of music...I have been really enjoying it.

Yeah it's somewhat out of line when compared to the other stuff I listen to but I think what Black Metal has that I love is atmosphere. Good ol' atmosphere. I shall send you a message now.

EDIT: Just got this. Great stuff.. quite beautiful!
