And they should do you good. Henry's Dream is definitely among my favourites of his. Your Funeral My Trial's really good as well, not quite up there with his very best for me though.

Talking of new albums, I just thought I'd get a bit more classic jazz I've been missing out on in the shapes of these two little nuggets...

Clifford Brown - A Study In Brown

Miles Davis - Birth Of the Cool

If Henry's Dream is up there with Murder Ballads I'll be very happy. Never heard story telling in songs quite like it. I feel like I've been missing out because I've heard of him since Arctic Monkey's did a cover and heard him mentioned on here a time or two, but I never thought to give him a listen. Better late then never

Bought on CD:

Slayer - Reign in Blood

Found out I had amassed a $25 gift credit with Best Buy so I decided to pick up a CD I sold ages ago to help pay for gas one day.

Mastodon - Leviathan

Ditto

Downloaded:

Candlemass - Death Magic Doom

Wasn't even aware they put out an album last year... damn I can get behind on so much good sh*t

The Lonesome Valley Singers - Corpse Circus Revue

New Gothic Country (with Lovecraftian influences) from Victoria B.C.

My Morning Jacket-Evil Urges
A Kentucky Wilco? Sounds worth a listen.
A reinvention met with vast critical acclaim and claims to being the best band in America?Might be something there
A description on allmusic.com as being possessed with" diversions into funk and prog, its falsetto vocals, its eclecticism"?Very intriguing.

Mono - Hymn to the Immortal Wind

It is a really good post-rock album.
