Janelle Monáe - The ArchAndroid (2010)

Finally an album actually worth some of that artery clogging Pitchfork hype: fuckin' mindblowing pop-soul.

Mythos - S/T (1971)

Creepy, unusual Krautrock with some kickin' bass. Then again, is there really such thing as normal Krautrock from the 70's? =P

Archive - Controlling Crowds (2009)

Dunno why I only ever assumed only their first few albums were exceptional: this is just as trippy and awe-inspiring, if not moreso, than You All Look The Same To Me and Lights.

I like her a lot. Apart from being a redhead and therefore smoking hot by default, Jenny's a great songwriter - the work of hers I've heard reminds me a lot of Emmylou Harris (who is, of course, awesome). I've only got Under the Blacklight though, so I should have a bit more of a dig around her discography when I've got the time to.

Apples In Stereo - Fun Trick Noisemaker

Trying to get in to some Apples in Stereo, thought this would be the best place to start so we'll see.
