That is a nice pick up! Love that Man Man album, even though I have to admit they are definitely a better live band then a studio band. The Morning Benders' new one is great too.

Kool Keith—Black Elvis/Lost In Space
So far this is my least favorite Kool Keith album of the ones I've heard. It's not bad though, maybe it'll grow on me.

I did really enjoy the Man Man album. I saw they are coming to town in September and it definitely sounds like something I would enjoy live.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

One EskimO - S/T (2009). Beautiful subdued British indie rock, hint of electronic elements with awesome vocals and songwriting.

They're fantastic live. I love their albums but I think they sound way better in person.

Well then...I should plan to make it to the show. Damn weeknight shows, it's on a Wednesday, 3 days after Pavement's Sunday night show.

Blood Ceremony - S/T (2008)

Postulate, if you will, Black Sabbath riffage and Jethro Tull flutage fornicating wildly and producing female-fronted offspring who grew up to love doom metal. This, ladies and gents, no longer leaves the result to the imagination, and it's quite awesome to behear.

Carl Anderson - Fantasy Hotel (1992)

Anybody who has seen Jesus Christ Superstar knows who this guy is, but you don't need any of that background to enjoy this surprisingly atmospheric entry into post-80's R&B. It's straightforward balladry in many places. but executed in such a way that every song remains a pleasure.

Talking Heads - Speaking In Tongues (1983)

A tad more accessible than Remain In Light, Fear Of Music, etc, but that's not necessarily a bad thing: it has a skittery sort of charm that grows over you like moss...in a good way.
