They sound a little like Cocteau Twins going by your description? Only just got into CT but they're insanely good, so I might give those a listen.

If you are getting into the Cocteau Twins, prepare to have an intense obsession with dreampop and shoegaze really soon.

I listen to a couple of other bands within the genre already. Cocteau Twins are brilliant though.

Massive Pale Saints fan also, and Slowdive, Film School, Chapterhouse, My Bloody Valentine etc.

Cocteau Twins would certainly be a good comparison. There's definitely a huge influence.

This is a really sweeping and beautiful album from the darker and more atmospheric end of the shoegaze/dream-pop spectrum. Those soft and haunting female vocals really complement the floaty and dreamy nature of the music so well. Loving it.

Autumn's Grey Solace - Over The Ocean
I like this album even more. The production is a little bit better and the songs seem more memorable. These are both really amazing albums.
I don't suppose you have a link for Shades of Grey do you? Everything I've found is either password protected or has a damaged file.

War on Drugs - Wagonwheel Blues

been hooked on this album since I downloaded it. Really liking WoD and The Morning Benders out of the newest albums I've downloaded.

Autumn's Grey Solace - Shades of Grey

I want to thank Zero1986 and Dr. Seussicide for their prompt PM's with this album. It's pretty interesting, a bit lighter than I was expecting, but I can definitely see what Zero means by it being a little dark. I'm not sure if this group will get a lot of plays, but this will be a great album for rainy days.

Edit:

Disregard my statement about being lighter, "Cold Sea" just came on and I heard a guitar solo I wouldn't have expected to hear from a band like this.

Cocteau Twins - Head Over Heels

This album didn't grab me in the way I expected it to, but it did intrigue me enough to look up another one of their more highly regarded albums.

Cocteau Twins - Treasure

The highly regarded album.

Man Man - The Man in a Blue Turban with Face

Thinking Fellers Union Local 282 - Mother of All Saints

Tera Melos - Patagonian Rats

Tera Melos is playing tomorrow and I shall decide whether I want to go or not based on the quality of this album.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.
