The Hotlines - The Hotlines

random pop-punk album. I'm always drawn to albums with artsy covers

!!!- Strange Weather Isn't It?
I've heard that you either like it or hate it, so let's see how I like it.

For me it was neither, still haven't played it a second time (the first was only a few weeks ago though). I found myself really hating the first song and thinking "oh my god, what have I done?!" but the rest was more enjoyable. Time will tell, maybe I'll put it on again today.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

well, if I can handle post rock, I could probably handle most drone, but I'll definitely get The Bees Made Honey In The Lion's Skull next. Any other particular drone albums I should get?
Man I donno. I got into Boris like 3 weeks go and I still haven't listened to any of albums besides Pink yet.

I'm still not sure how anyone could enjoy that album. I can usually see the value or worth in something but that...

The Bees Made Honey In the Lion's Skull sounds nothing like Boris. It also sounds nothing at all like Earth 2. It's actually extremely cinematic sounding instrumental music that's not particularly noisy and is fairly traditional in terms of melody, at least compared to Earth's early stuff. It's a very good, very moody album.

As long as it doesn't sound like Earth 2 I'll give it a shot.

Most of the Earth albums I've heard sound pretty different from each other. The Bees Made Honey In the Lion's Skull sounds like a completely different band from Earth 2. In fact, except for Dylan Carlson I think it is a completely different band.
