Jackson Conti - Sujinho
Otis Jackson (Madlib) and Ivan Conti (Brazilian drummer). Guest vocals by Thalma De Freita.

The Breeders - Pod
I enjoyed Last Splash for the first time yesterday so I figured I'd grab this one too, based on the good reviews and because I like it raw - and this was the first so there's a good chance it'll please me greatly.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

1773 - Sound Soulstice (2010)

'Nother live band hip hop album I found, was pretty decent as well

Panacea - 12 Step Program (2010)

I've heard of this group before but never looked into them until I saw them on a bunch of people's hip hop of 2010 lists, very good group.

Downloaded this on a whim and holy shit this is some smooth live band hip hop with some awesome flow, I'm only on the second track too!

I see you've been getting into lots of hip-hop lately, Pete! Man, I miss exchanging music with you. I really like this one. Thanks for sharing.

I spent most of 2010 listening to metal and kind of neglecting hip hop. There weren't a lot of releases from artists I already knew so I was a little more hesitant on what I grabbed. With pretty much all the major 2010 metal releases done I decided to try and catch up on some of the stuff I've missed, I have also been playing Demonoid and What.CD fishing, where I type in some random key words and then download the torrents of what comes back, it can be a lot of fun and can sometimes yield some impressive results, such as Collective Efforts.

Bought:

Commercial DnB but from the Breakbeat Kaos label that is owned by early DnB stalwart Adam F so it holds the attention well and Mike Patton pops up too on a Qemist track.

Despite looking like a major label cash in, this is from the ever excellent Get Darker stable so you know some thought has gone into this and a few names for me to checkout now.

This wasn't a great album but a chance to revisit and it's the S.E double disc set with extra tracks.

That lot for £23. Just over £3 an album. Happy days.

I remember seeing the commercials all the time when I was younger and really enjoying what I heard. I could never remember what they were called, but FINALLY did.

Just bought this on vinyl today for 20 bucks:

I'm going turntable shopping pretty soon so I'm starting to building up my vinyl collection. I've also been trying to catch up with all the great jazz I've been missing in my life.

Considering that I think their covers are rather good and that I don't really like their own material a great deal I guess it made sense to get this.
