Orange Juice - You Can't Hide Your Love Forever
An excellent jangly post-punk record. Full of great songs and passionate, melodic pop hooks. Brilliant band, must check out their other albums.

Stereolab - Dots and Loops
I've been meaning to try these guys for a while, so i decided to download this album and give it a go. Listening to it now at the moment, it's a really nice bright, chilled-out mixture of indie and electronica, with electronic beats, synths and guitars blended together so effortlessly. Some really nice skewed female vocal melodies as well. Great stuff.

Yeah, that's the right description of Stereolab. They sound so effortless in their eclecticism. Great album. This reminds me, I have to listen to them, it's been a while.

Yeah it's a really eclectic and experimental album, there's bits of everything thrown in to the mix. I was going to download one of their poppier early albums but i decided try this.

Elton John and Leon Russel's The Union. Gotta say, it's a pretty fantastic album.

Factor - Chandelier (2008)

Canadian hip hop/ trip-hop producer that I had never heard of until last.fm recommended me him. It's a pretty decent album all in all, however the songs are a little too short and end a little prematurely. Regardless it's made me curious to check out some of his other stuff as well as a few of the emcee's featured on some of the tracks.

Man, I just added three new albums to my library and I'm really digging each one based on my first listen. All really cool album covers too, IMO:

Fang Island - Fang Island

The guitar riffs in 'Sideswiper' and especially 'Welcome Wagon'

Four Stars - The Greenhornes

Thaaanks, right-track!

In the Aeroplane Over the Sea - Neutral Milk Hotel

This surprises me too, haha. I'll just call it the Defiance, Ohio Effect.

Always the first to the party, that Violent & Funky guy...
