I liked the single 'Whatever Happened To My Rock 'n' Roll' when it first came out but I never investigated further. I found this album dirt-cheap today at €3 and just decided check it out. Apart from said single and a couple of other tracks such as the promising opener 'Love Burns' and 'Spread Your Love' the album sounds very dreary and plodding at times, and perhaps a good bit overlong.
Yeah, that album's good stuff, even if it does have its flaws. I'm much more a fan of Take Them On On Your Own and the Howl when all's said and done.

I think this album is the standout release amongst the garage rock revival, and that includes the Strokes debut. It has this dark, psychedelic quality to it that distinguishes it from albums released around the same time. One of my favourites of the decade, fo' sho'.

Lying around on my computer. Just found it today.

Hmmm maybe it'll grow on me after a while if I listen to it a bit more. There were some nice psychedelic touches on a few of the songs but overall it just failed to grab me on the first listen.

I really love it too. It does have it's retro psychedelic moments, and it's more shoegazey kinda moments, and I think it's pretty solid. I also like Baby 81, even though a lot of people seem to disagree with me.

Park - No Signal

Really enjoying this so far, really tight sounding punk/emo/rock.

I also preordered, which means I got an MP3 copy of Sit Resist By Laura Stevenson and the Cans! I can't wait to hear it.

Tommy Four Seven - Primate

Yes please.

I was just going to download "Topographic Oceans", but then I stumbled upon an awesome collection that I just had to dig into a little bit.

It's gonna be a progressive week!
