His other stuff is totally different to that album.
I'd recommend his mix albums. He finds some great obscure soul & funk from the 60s & 70s.
Also he formed a band called The Free Association, he did 2 albums with them one was a mix album like I mentioned above, the other was all original material. Both those are worth listening to.

He does a lot of film soundtracks too.

Peace Frog's post reminded me that I never got around to getting this despite having it on order at my local record shop for about 2 years and looking for about twice that long online for it in both legal and illegal means.
Gave up looking sometime around 2006, all I can say is thank heavens for people with great taste in music blogging.
