Bought for 1p:

I was 14 when this came out and knew it was cheesy even then but it was a part of me growing up and even though I haven't heard the album for 15 odd years I thought it was worth a penny and a fresh listen........:( It is actually pretty damn awful with a band trying to stay to their Hard Rock roots but ending up sounding like A.O.R but bad at that too.

I'd Die For You holds up well as a typical 80's movie soundtrack type of song and Wanted Dead Or Alive does have some decent guitar work but overall it's even worse than I imagined.

Again bought for 1p and this has held up fairly well considering the crap he delivered after. Victim Of Love has some great guitar work. Heat Of The Night is a great song to drive to (even though I don't drive, so I just imagine the open road) and Native Son has a great slow build. Not a great album but much better than you imagine it to be.

Again for 1p. The Shamen came out in the early 90's and gave us one of the worst singles of that era in Ebeneezer Goode but the band were much more than that and were almost a prototype Psychedelic Trance band and this album from 95, a few years later from their big hit is a great melting pot of Ambient, Psychedelica and Goa like Trance.

Dark Time Sunshine - Anx (2012)

Well this one came out of left field, a follow up to their amazing 2010 debut, with a bunch of guest spots of rappers I really like, I mean there's Ceschi, Busdriver, Aesop Rock, P.O.S., and one of the emcees from Sollilaquists of Sound. I like surprises :)

Well, I only got it because of the nostalgia factor with some of his songs, but I have to admit there turned out to be a surprising number of his more upbeat songs that I had never heard before but enjoyed.

Heh. Well Slippery When Wet was the first or second album I ever owned, a gift from my best friend, so it still has kind of a special place in my heart. And I've always had a soft spot for Bryan Adams. I don't have quite the same feelings for The Shamen, but I haven't heard their name in about 20 years so you certainly get some credit on that front alone. :)
