^ Nice, I just put that and Adventure on my MP3 player last night to listen to this week. I had the song "Foxhole" in my head the last few days.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I added a few items to my Amazon wishlist from various sources yesterday, and downloaded a few. First up:

The Gris Gris - The Gris Gris (2004)
This is taken from Goofle11/TomClancy11's RYM list "My 50 Favourite Albums Of All EVER". RYM users have classified it primarily as Neo-Psychedelia but I disagree, as it sounds straight out of the 60s. Good stuff here, this will be getting some repeat action.

Pile - Dripping (2012)
Next, an indie/post-hardcore offering with a touch of grunge. I was listening to Pond's Beard, Wives, Denim yesterday and happened to look at the band's last.fm page and the user comments, where I found links to two users' best of 2012 lists that also featured Pond, and this album caught my attention. I'm not even that into Pond's album at the moment (it may take a few more listens to decide), but one thing led to another and here we are. Nearing the end of track 3 now and I'm really digging this. Maybe if you like Cloud Nothings and their overrated 2012 album, and Sleepie's Weird Wild World you should check this out.

I've always known about them, just never bothered for some reason. I've listened to it twice today. Definitely checking their later stuff. Is it good?

Listening to this currently

Solid indie pop

I think Adventure is really good, it just doesn't have the same impact on most people as Marquee Moon. I find it nearly as enjoyable though. Their third and last studio album, 1992's Television, is a good listen but doesn't stand up to the original two. Don't hold that against it though.

Grew into the Money Store. Love that record now, so I'm checking this out and then No Love Deep Web. So far it's abrasive and nasty, yet so good.

Foxygen - Take the Kids Off Broadway (2011)
This is heavily influenced by early David Bowie, but I'm enjoying it. I thought I heard a hint of T. Rex in the first song and a bit of Rolling Stones later on, but it's predominantly Bowie style. The 10-minute "Teenage Alien Blues" does reveal more hints of the other two artists though. It seems to have been independently released in October 2011 and then re-released by Jagjaguwar in July 2012, so it's showing up on some Best of 2012 lists.
