On first listen at 1am after several drinks I proclaim this album pretty badass. The band is from the same Providence music scene as Lightning Bolt and they have a somewhat similar aesthetic. A little like a cross between noise rock and powerviolence, this album is slow, churning, and ear-shatteringly loud. If you like that kind of thing, you'd probably like this album.

I saw them open for Skinny Puppy at New Orleans House of Blues in 2007. I had to plug my ears to make any sense of White Mice's music. :laughing: It just sounded like a wall of noise otherwise. I enjoyed their big evil dirty mouse heads though.

"Brothers" is a solid record, hated "El Camino". So far, this album's good. Track 5 starting now.

Attack & Release and Brothers are great. And while I didn't "hate" El Camino, none of the songs have done much for me.
