Bought these:

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
Sonic Youth - Dirty

Loveless is, well, ethereal. How the band came up with something like that is beyond my ken. Not listened to Dirty yet, but I hear that it sparked some controversy among Sonic Youth's fans. I got it pretty cheap, though.

Batty PM'd me about this ages ago. Will probably get as the tracks I listened to on Youtube were very good.

The A-side borders on transcendent. I can take or leave the rest, but dude, those first three tracks are cookies.

Glassjaw - Worship and Tribute

Looking into more bands/albums from the post-hardcore/screamo/metal universe. This band caught my eye. I'm glad it did, because this album is great.

Post-punk revivalism they'd be considered. Lots of great post-punk revisions came out during the early noughts, I'd consider them the best.

Same here. Good band, but Post-Punk no way!

I don't hear a smidgen of punk in their sound at all, really don't think that genre suits them. Interpol yes, The National - no way!

Are they considered 'post-punk revival' too? What a bull**** genre. And I love LCD Soundsystem.
