I have it's greatest hits, it's pretty good. The song "Marie Provst" is AWESOME.

I'm not a big Lowe fan (and Rockpile doesn't do much for me either) but there's some good stuff on the compilation Basher: The Best Of Nick Lowe. Marie Provost, American Squirm, The Rose Of England, So It Goes, and a few others are good, but the whole thing reminds me of a Lovin' Spoonful album. It sounds great while it lasts, but you feel empty when the album comes out of the player.

Cheers man, I'll give them a go. All I've heard of Lowe myself is him singing Baby It's You with Costello (which sounded alright to me). Sounds like he's got a good voice, so I'll definitely give him a chance eventually

Do you have the expanded version of Spike? One of the songs Costello sings is "The Ugly Things," which is a Lowe song from his Brinsley Schwartz days. It's pretty decent.

Yeah, I've got that. Pretty catchy tune (I like those solos he spreads out through it), definitely my favourite Spike B-side.

Which reminds me, I really should update my journal again sometime soon (can't wait 'til I get to review Spike for it)...
