As for the album, I just can't stop listening to the Turkish Song Of the Damned - one of the catchiest melodies I've heard (for the first time) in quite a while. It's not quite Rum, Sodomy and the Lash but it's still a wonderful piece of work.

Absolute ace of a song is Turkish Song Of the Damned but then the entire album has no weak spots for me. Thousands Are Sailing is a wonderful tale of emigration and Fiesta is a true drinking foot stomper. I just am of the opinion that their was a general maturity in both the melodies, lyrics and the production so I actually prefer it as a package over Rum, Sodomy and the Lash though we are discussing degrees of excellence. I can dig both albums out occasionally and still thoroughly enjoy them after all these years.

Who Killed Amanda Palmer? by Amanda Palmer.

really expensive considering! Great power piano, not the same without Brian though, long live The Dresden Dolls.
