Nirvana is a "best-of" compilation album by the American rock band Nirvana, released in October, 2002. It was the third Nirvana album to be released following the death of vocalist and guitarist Kurt Cobain in April 1994, and the first to feature studio material. It is also the band's first best-of compilation.

The compilation features the previously-unreleased "You Know You're Right", a song recorded in January 1994 during Nirvana's final studio session. It also includes a chronological selection from the band's three studio albums and the live album, MTV Unplugged in New York, including a rare version of "Been a Son" and the Scott Litt remix of "Pennyroyal Tea".

Nirvana opened at number three on the Billboard 200 with 234,000 copies sold. It has sold one million copies in the United States,[1] and has sold two million copies in Europe as of 2007.[2]

Default albums

The last album I bought was "Volviendo a las Cavernas", of Pez (a independent band from Buenos Aires, Argentina). It was a long time ago; i don't usually buy cd's anymore (i haven't a Cd player) Now i usually buy books about rock music.

The last Cd listened in Bandcamp was "Moderno" of "Mostruo!", a band from La Plata.

And about downloads... I never downloaded music from Internet. It's illegal! No. Yes, i downloaded music from an artist called Sâr Rulli. I recommend you (Bandcamp: srulli)

I actually stumbled onto a used two-disk Billy Joel Greatest Hits collection. I was shocked at how little I knew of his musical variety. His 80s hits seem to get all the radio play, but for my money his 70s work may be his best. They're certainly his darkest and most poetic, though married, as always, with his incredible way with melodies and his show-stopping vocal work. "Captain Jack" is a new favorite, and I don't care how hopeless it gets!

Tortoise - TNT (1998)

I hadn't heard this album for some time and decided to give it a spin this morning. It still sounds as good as the last time I heard it. This one might be my favorite album by Tortoise.
