http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA240_.jpg Nirvana - Travelling on a Cloud Marvellously psychedelic by this English duo from the sixties, Kurt must have been a fan. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA240_.jpg Country Joe & The Fish - The Collected 1965 to 1970 Bought on a whim because the band looked quite trendy on the front cover, their stuff is kinda Bluesy and kinda trippy, good stuff |

he did, but he was well-versed, his name keeps cropping up as digging a lot of good older bands (especially in the post-punk era) which is more impressive when you consider how people consumed their music back then. And living in suburban America too, you must've really had to dig for the Raincoats or whatever
edit- although yeah he probably wouldnt have liked the toytown psychedelia stylings of the original Nirvana... cellartapes does that album have 'Rainbow Chaser' on it? amazing track |

Kurt Cobain - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia always thought he was somebody i could stand to be around. It doesnt mention the King Crimson 'Red' influence though which is pretty self-evident

i heard rainbow chaser from this which was instrumental in the molding my fondness for 60's britain etc, really good schtuff.
I'm listening to it now and the first disc has somehow received an irreparable scratch :banghead: edit- ooh i want this!, the Vertigo retrospective is good too, not as diverse as the 60's label boxes though. I bought it as a present for a mate and ripped it before putting it in the post hahahaha |
