Gorgeous, very mature symphonic progressive rock (violin, piano and cello up the wazoo) that sounds so elegant you feel you're standing on the sky when you close your eyes. There's some sax and brassy interludes here and there which flow so well with the classical stuff I had to hear it to believe it. An absolute essential for those who love classical and jazz, and I wish I had discovered it earlier.

just for once i'd like an obscure prog act to be something other than a vague reference to Tolkien. i mean, fuck, there's only so many times you can read LOTR.

Its Gong, its Steve Hillage on guitar, and a space rock classic. Need I say more?

I found Phantasmagoria to be a pretty cool album so I had to get some more. :D

Angel's Egg is sweet - if we're talking guitar solos, I Never Glide Before has to be my favourite.

Use to dislike Nile but I've slowly turned my opinion around on them. Still need lyrics to all the songs and even then I have trouble hearing what they're saying.

I hated Nile first time I heard them. Not because of the extreme nature (i love grindcore), I just though that they were generally poor but more listens turned me around to be fair. Good album.
