I'm glad to hear you liked it! I think I prefer "Shepherd" too. I dig how atmospheric it is.

Von Hertzen Brothers - Approach

Led Zeppelin meets Kingston Wall with a few other things thrown in for spice. Probably the best post-2000 psychedelic rock album I've run across in months when all is said and done, and that's just my impressions from some casual listening. It shall have more of my attention from now on!

Ozric Tentacles - The Hidden Step

You can say many things about the Ozrics, but one thing you can't say is that they lack consistency. This particular disc is among their best though, mostly thanks to killer cuts like 'Tight Spin'. Only a few more albums left to collect before I finish the discog.!

Definitely worth your while for both. Let me know what you think of them if you get a chance.

I just recently listened to Mogwai's 21st century portrait of Zidane - and I have to say I really enjoyed what I heard. I will be listening to more of his stuff.

^^That's a great album Paloma. They have one more from the 60s, Contact. It's seemingly in the same vein, but more straightforward and rocking.

I really like it, at first it sounded dated but I've been listening to it over and over. I'll get Contact asap, thanks!

^Yeah, it has some strange mix of really belonging in the 60s, but at the same time being very ahead of its time. It's been said they had a lot of influence on kraut rock and Kraftwerk and then synth pop later. But, to me there's no denying that Alan Vega and Martin Rev of Suicide really knew this band.
