The White Stripes are great. Yes, the drumming sucks, but they guitarwork is so raw and full of bluesy goodness.

but in many songs the drumming goes very well with Jacks guitar work.. I mean it would suck if the drumming was over powering, and sucky at the same time..

I'd try to defend both bands but I don't think that it's possible to save BSB
But N*Sync!
They were one of the best boy bands ever. They could sing, they could dance, and they could put on a great show.
