You have to be very special to Americans to keep their attention for over two decades with only one good album. Personally, I have always loved Stone Roses s/t and I always will.

Since we're talking about the US, it's interesting that the Stone Roses' subpar, eventual follow up album, Second Coming, is considered 'more popular in America' I guess because Squire wanks out some good ol' American-style blues guitar solos throughout. I obviously think it's far worse but I have run into several people who say they like it better than the first one. I'm always shocked when I hear that

And no one jump on my back about Sketches being good, that album p*sses me off. It makes me think 'Oh what might've been...'

And yeah, Second Coming is f*cking terrible. How anyone can prefer it is unfathomable.

Hmmm I doubt the rumours are true, something like that pops up nearly every year and gets denied by the band members. Besides I doubt Man. City are going to win the Premier League this year.
