The Official The Stone Roses Thread

I couldn't find a thread just about them. I found something about them releasing a cd but it was old and not well done so I've decided to make my own. Anyways, I love this band they're awesome. Great solid instrumental with catchy vocals. That's one thing I like about British music, it makes you listen to the song as a whole rather than individual parts. S/t is my favorite album.

The Stone Roses were brilliant. Hard to believe they only made 2 albums. I can see them getting back together some day if Ian would just stop being a tool.
The intro to I Wanna Be Adored probably one of the best pieces of modern music.

a very good band that sadly had too few albums to be considered great in my book. Their remix cd is worth getting as well FYI

Not too soon then

Love it.

Naaa, i wouldn't want them to reform, i wouldn't want them to tarnish their lehendary past. Reformations normally end up being a bit messy, with the exception of the Pixies.

Urban Hat€monger ? 06-29-2006 09:56 AM

I don`t want them to reform simply because Mani is more than happy as a member of Primal Scream :D

DontRunMeOver 06-29-2006 09:58 AM

That's another reason why I'd want them to reform. Split up Primal Scream!

If they reformed without Ian Brown I'd be entirely happy, and possibly without Mani too. The guitars and drums sold it for me. Not sure what Brown brought really, maybe he booked the reheasal rooms?
