That kind of implies it, no?

I mean sure today their sound is common place, but back in 96 or whenever, they didn't sound like most bands did.

Except for bands like coal chamber and limp biskit like I had already said in a previous post. Hell early deftones had that ****ty sound.

Defending your taste in music is one thing, insulting real musicians by calling korn progressive is another. learn what the word means. Oh wow so they toss is safe metal with hip hop early on and then decide (as you said) to go towards more techno. That doesn't mean progression! At all.

FOR ****'S SAKE WOULD YOU READ THE BLOODY ITALICS. I'm saying the same thing again and again. They progressed with their sound. That DOESN'T mean that their sound was Progressive, it means that their sound changed. are you familiar with this term? their music evolved, and they created an original sound. Read posts before making stupid blind responses

They kind of took Body Count's sound and did what they wanted with it, added bland alt rock, and then stuck in that grove.

Kind of took doesn't mean raped replicated and torn apart, as is the case with the bands that i was originally talking about, and don't ask me to quote, I lost faith in most modern rock/punk a while ago, I wait for it to come to me, and I don't take in the names unless I like it, which is rarely.

Korn did progress and change over time, though it was never a drastic change. Listen to their first album and then listen to their latest album. They don't sound very much alike - which also disproves the whole "they only ever made songs with one set sound" claim.

lol I seriously doubt they don't sound anything alike. Bands like that don't change. Plus whatever song they had for whatever video they made last sounded exactly what a korn song would sound like.

lol that's depressing. Stop listening to music. There are some good bands. Maybe if you looked around instead of being closed minded to it and only looking on mainstream sources, you'd find bands with actual talent.

Yes, it's called having a sound if some one played some of the Beatles work, you'd recognise it immediately, wouldn't you (no, I'm not saying KoRn are as good as the beatles, the beatles are highly superior, i'm just proving a point). but that doesn't mean it's the same song as all their others. And you just admitted to having not listened to their new stuff, so any argument you had against it hardly counts, does it?

I'm sorry, I didn't phrase that properly, I mean I'd lost faith in mainstream rock/pop/punk, because it all sounds the same. if someone gives me some new band and says "listen to this, they're good, I will. If someone gives me ANY band and says "listen to this" I'll listen to it at least once before I say whether it's good or horrible.

EDIT: sorry about the double post

You should go back an re read what I said. I know it's a lot but if you follow the argument you won't sound so stupid. I know they have a sound dumbass and I recognized that.
